What is CoupleFlow?

CoupleFlow is a Telegram Bot to help you improve your relationship communication.

It’s job is to observe your day-to-day chat with your partner and then securely, privately and discreetly analyse how you’re getting on with AI.

Much like a relationship therapist CoupleFlow defaults to a weekly cadence, providing you insight and objective feedback on how you two communicated in the past week.

CoupleFlow is not an AI therapist though, it’s more of a reflection tool to help you both see what patterns you’re using when communicating together, automatically reviewing the past week of chats for you, helping you move into a constructive cycle of relationship improvement.

Who is CoupleFlow for?

CoupleFlow is for any couple who want to work at improving their relationship. It works in the Telegram messaging app, (which is a superb chat app, in my opinion much better than WhatsApp or Messenger). If you don’t ever send each other messages digitally, this isn’t going to work for you.

But otherwise whether your long-term married, or just got together, CoupleFlow can provide really useful insight to help you win at communicating as a couple.

To that end there’s no specific age group or relationship length who best suit CoupleFlow, it’s really about having a mindset of wanting to improve your partnership as a couple.

Your situation might be:

• Young Couple, aware they could communicate better
• Long-time married couple who want to pick back up improving their bond
• Experiencing communication breakdown, relationship problems, or fighting a lot
• You both want to break the passed-down cycle or relationship pattern

What platform does CoupleFlow work on?

CoupleFlow works on Telegram messenger (the superior messaging platform). It’s easy to set up, you can see how to get started with CoupleFlow here.

Telegram (and so CoupleFlow) works on all modern mobile devices, and it has excellent desktop and browser apps too. If you do nothing else today, I’d recommend getting Telegram, it’s superb.

How do I get started with the CoupleFlow Relationship Bot?

The best way to get started is to head over to CoupleFlow.app and click ‘Get Started’ from the top menu.

Why did I make CoupleFlow?

I’ve had my share of relationship misunderstandings and challenges. Neurodiversity and inherited patterns add extra spice to these. I made CoupleFlow because I noticed many of my peers were copy pasting their DMs into ChatGPT and framing the outcome as winner vs loser, almost seeking narcissist labels etc.

I figured there’s got to be a way to use AI more constructively. Honing in on what makes a happy, healthy, sustainable relationship, and making sure that the AI does no harm first and foremost.

How did I make CoupleFlow?

Having been familiar with AI API’s from other projects, and wanting an excuse to get to grips with the Telegram Bot API, I dived in making a simple bot in just a few days.

This runs on php, with a webhook catching all Telegram Bot calls and processing them (privately, securely) in order to spit back out a constructive review later on.

As the project went on I got quite deep into prompt engineering and integrated payments via Telegram Stars digital currency.

I also developed a fun ‘Adult Advent Calendar’ bot event which sends couples signed up to CoupleFlow a spicey image, video, or prompt to their chat in the run up to festivities in December. I can see how even this feature is a fun thing to have as a couple, and I hope to explore more events in the future.

This was a fun project and I can see how it will help some relationships already, with updates in the future further improving it.

Update Dec 24: Added Telegram Chat Analyzer

Today I’ve added a Telegram Chat Analyzer to CoupleFlow, so Telegram users can upload a single chat history and get chat stats based on that upload. It should let users ‘try out’ CoupleFlow in a quicker way.

This chat analyzer anonymises the users chat history before sending it through a lighter version of the CoupleFlow AI Analysis system to give some basic chat statistics and a relationship summary.
